30 July 2025- Chelsea Pensioner Club Excursion

It was a lovely day out yesterday and the weather overall behaved itself. It was a great experience and privilege to see the Chelsea Pensioners in their home and be shown round the Royal Hospital Chelsea (RHC), learning about its history and seeing what day to day life entails.

 The result was a “draw” in our favour.  We won 2 rinks, lost 1 rink and drew 1 rink. As Barry F mentioned on WhatsApp our top rink had 6 players as 2 positions in that team had a share, Barry F, Annie C, Denise, Tony, Alan R and Alan H.

It wasn’t about the winning but the taking part and playing bowls in the setting of RHC and meeting some real characters during the day. (photos in the gallery)

2nd August 2025- Captains Day

Another wonderful social bowls event with fun and games at Selsey bowls with everyone dressing in Bright colours, followed by a lovely ploughmans Tea and Raffle. ( photo's in the gallery)
